Tool and Die Maker 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Operate and initiate set ups on grinders, shapers, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, etc. with no supervision.

• Heat treat various types of tool steel.

• Make new die sections, as well as replace broken and worn dies.

• Disassemble and reassemble die; check punches and dies for proper working clearance.

• Build new dies from blueprints.

• Analyze areas of quality cost and implement root cause corrective action for overall reduction in quality cost.

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of statistical process control techniques.

Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma
