What is involved in the application process?
We have tried to make the application process as simple as possible. You can apply with the attached application or you can come into a local branch to complete the application in person. After the application is complete, it will be reviewed by our staff. Once your application is processed you will be offered jobs based on all of the factors involved, including your skill set, education, availability....etc.

I already have an application, I don't have a job yet. What do I need to do?
We request that you contact your local A.I.D. office and follow up with your job search.

How often should I call your office after an Interview?
We request that you contact A.I.D. once a week as long as you are still looking for work. This allows us the opportunity to speak with you weekly to make sure nothing has changed and your job preferences are the same.

I've been told to contact A.I.D. for work but when I call they say they don't have anything for me...am I doing something wrong?
No, sometimes our positions fill quickly so make sure you have a current application on file.  Your application may have not be a match for the job openings we currently have or the criteria you requested initially. Continue to contact us weekly for available work and we will continue to look for a position for you that meets your criteria.

I found a job on your website I'm interested in, what do I do now and how can I get more information?
If you do not have a current application submit one now or apply in person. As always, with any position, contact our local office for job availability.

How soon can I begin working?
Job availability changes on a daily basis. Once the application process is complete, you can be offered positions based on your preferences and skills.

If I am not interested in a position when it is offered is it okay to turn it down?
Not every job is going to meet the expectations you have. If you are not interested in a job, you are free to decline that position. We will continue to search for positions for you based on your skills and preferences.

What if I'm on an assignment and decide it is not for me?
We realize that every job is not a good fit for you, sometimes you do not realize that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it isn't going to work, we ask that you contact us immediately. You may be asked to stay on the assignment to give notice or long enough for us to find a replacement. Again, communication is key.

What do I pay for your services?
There is no cost to job seekers. A.I.D.'s services are always provided at no fee to the employee!

How and when am I paid?
Employees are paid weekly by A.I.D. Temporary Services, Inc. You will receive your pay every Friday. There is never a fee to the employee!

What is the attendance policy?
Communication is the answer. If you expect to be tardy or absent, you must call A.I.D. before your scheduled start time. Our office has 24-hour voicemail. The client attendance policy will be in effect for each of our employees placed at their location. A "no call, no show" to an assignment can result in immediate termination.

What if I don't see a job that fits me on your Job Search list?
Even if you do not see a job posting you are interested in we encourage you to submit an application. By doing so you can be notified when a position becomes available which meets your skills and criteria.

I am relocating soon. Can I apply for a job in my new location?
Job applications require a valid, current address. Our staff coordinator will ask about your geographic preference for work on your application.  You can also contact the local office of A.I.D. where you will be moving and speak to a staff coordinator at that location for more information.

Do you hire contract employees?
A.I.D. hires its employees on a W-2 basis. A.I.D. withholds taxes from our employees and earnings are reported to the IRS each year. A.I.D. employees must complete a W-4 form at the beginning of their employment.
